About Me

Hi, I’m Lisa Camillo.

I’m an award-winning Italian‑Australian documentary director, writer, and producer. I founded Against The Tide Films after years of anthropological work with Aboriginal communities—driven by a need to tell Indigenous and minority stories with care, consent, and impact. I also bring criminology and investigative methods into my filmmaking, especially for complex human-rights and environmental stories. This shop is where I share the tools I wish I’d had earlier.
